Many of us have always questioned how can we help the poor because there are millions of poor in the world. We can ever help them all. We will die before we can finish our mission. It sounds little convincing to this claim. However, it is not true at all. It is just a matter of commitment. Of course, one person can never help change everything. But imagine if the rest has kind of duty to help the poor. Why not be able to help all? We will do it for sure.
This article wants to remind readers that you are not alone when you feel caring people. There are many others who doing the same thing. Although you have never seen their face, you share common understanding and value with them. At the other end of the world, they are completing their mission to help the poor same thing. They spend lots of efforts as you did, too. They devoted both mental, physical and financial power to change their society. Helping the poor, thus, is doing everywhere. Do not lose faith and give up. Let's do together for one best caring community.
There have been many discussion and talks about how to help the poor if I am not mistaken. Those talks and discussion ended up with the idea that we should care only our own business and ignore the rest. Because it is a lot to do so. It is impossible. I almost believe this proposition as well. However, I once read an article of Starfish story. Then I found out that I do not need to care how many poor people are in this world. I don't need to count them at all. What I need to do is just counting the numbers how many I have done good thing to them. I better number how many I can help per day. That's it, nothing more nothingless.
To illustrate my point, I would like to invite all of you to read the below touching story about helping the poor, disadvantage and unlucky people in the world. Please enjoy reading Starfish story:
One day, there was a wisdom man who often goes to the ocean to do his regular writing. His preference is to walk on the beach before he can begin his work.

One day, there was a wisdom man who often goes to the ocean to do his regular writing. His preference is to walk on the beach before he can begin his work.
That day, as he was heading along the white sand beach, he looked turn forward and saw a figure of a person moving like is doing yoga. This wise man smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance or doing exercise to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.
As he gets closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing or exercising at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.
He came closer still and said out loud “Good morning! May I ask what are you doing with that?”
“I was so curious and can’t wait to continue my next stupid question: Why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” asked the somewhat startled wise man.
The young man replied, “The sun is shining up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them into the sea, they’ll die.
Once hearing this, the wise man commented, “But, young man, don’t you know! Don’t you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly help them survive all.”
The young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, compassionate young man said, “It made a difference for that one.”
Moral of the Story
Of course, in this world there countless people awaiting us to help and we know for sure that we can’t help them all and all time. Should we abandon them when we realize that we can’t? The world does not need only us to make everything completely change but for us, specifically, we got to do as much as we can. Help people one at a time at our own capability. We do not need to be rich and powerful before we can begin to share; we do not even need to wait until we have enough for ourselves before we can help. We can do it anyway although with nothing but our lovingkindness mind.
Remember!!!
